For our more valuable yesterday, today, and tomorrow
The time we live day by day is precious. The days we've already passed, the days to come, are of course precious, and the time we're spending now is irreplaceable. However, most of us forget how we spent our time and what we felt, and often easily forget when and what we intended to do. Consequently, even the same amount of time can have different value. What we need to increase this value is time management and reflection. Time management and reflection allow us to look back on the past and better plan for the future, making our time more valuable. And naturally, it changes how we spend our time now. β°
Ticki tacka provides a system for our team and team members to discuss and share what we have been doing and what we will do. Of course, this also transparently shares what we are currently doing. In this update, we've included significant features for the past, present, and future. Check them out below! π
In this update, the review feature for reflecting on my past days has been further enhanced. First and foremost, a space has been created where you can write self-reviews for each schedule. You can note and store your emotions, lessons learned, and resolutions while spending time on that schedule. You can access this feature by opening the wall of a schedule or to-do and clicking on Todo Review. The review was designed using the KPT retrospective technique, and you can choose the category you want to record and leave a message. Wondering what KPT is? KPT is a simple yet effective methodology for reflecting on and improving the time I've spent on tasks and other activities.
Keep: Positive elements that went well or that you want to maintain
Problem: Areas that need improvement or were problematic
Try: Specific improvement plans or new attempts, resolutions to solve the problems
Next, by pressing the reflection button in the upper right corner of the Today tab, you can look back on your day. In the left space, you can check or write new KPT records for each schedule. Of course, you can also check and reflect on how well you completed the tasks you planned for today. It's a good time management practice to check how much time you actually spent compared to what you planned, and use this to gauge how much time to allocate when planning future schedules. In the right space, you can also use the KPT technique to reflect on your day. Take a moment to record any noteworthy points as you look back on your day as a whole. When you press the save button, you can select tasks from today's uncompleted to-dos to continue tomorrow, and the selected schedules will be created as continued to-dos for tomorrow. Make sure to use the reflection feature when wrapping up your day!
Lastly, for the reflection part, I'd like to share improvements to the Review tab. As before, this is a space where you can learn about yourself by collecting your time spent and review data on a weekly basis. The newly renovated space has added features that can provide more insights and is designed to allow you to view all the reviews you've written. This space provides three answers to the question "How was your week?"
This was the biggest event of my day-to-day: On the left side of the Review tab, you can see the representative schedules for your Monday through Sunday. You can choose to view high-priority schedules, schedules with reflections, or schedules that took up a lot of time. This makes it easy to see what events you had each day.
I spent a lot of time in these areas during the week: The upper right section statistically shows which categories I spent a lot of time on during the week, what categories I spent time on during which time periods, and when I started and finished schedules. While looking at this, why not think about where you want to spend more time and how to distribute your time?
These are the things I felt during the week: The KPTs I recorded while reflecting on each day and each schedule can be viewed here in the Review tab. It's easy to find the content you want to see through period and KPT filters. The more you remember what you felt without forgetting, the higher the value of the days you've passed. Increase the value of your time with simple records!
Now, I'd like to introduce the features updated for the present. Mobile notification functionality has been added. From notifications that help you plan your day to notifications that let you check the schedules of team members and friends you're interested in, these have been introduced to the mobile app. Consequently, a notification tab has also been added to the navigation bar. Let's take a look at each one!
Daily Start Notification: We send you a notification to make plans at the time you set! By default, it's set to 9 AM, and you can turn it off or change it in the settings tab. I'm confident that starting your day by planning your time will make your day much more productive. The important thing is not to strictly adhere to everything, but to start by thinking about what you're going to do today, even if it's just a simple plan.
Favorite Friend Plan Completion Notification: When you enter a friend's screen and tap the star shape in the upper right corner, that friend is added to your favorites list. When friends registered in your favorites press the plan completion button, you'll receive a notification about which friend has completed their plan! Tapping the notification allows you to immediately check your friend's schedule for today. It's good to check the schedules of friends you're interested in and try to match your friend's schedule. Above all, it's meaningful in that you can be considerate of and understand your friend's schedule.
Friend Request Notification: When you search for a friend and touch their name, you can find the Ticki tacka logo. Touching this logo allows you to send a 'Ticki' to your friend. Then, a request notification is sent to that friend, and if they press 'Tacka' in the notification tab, you become 'Ticki tacka' friends and are registered in each other's friend lists. Now, register as friends and start sharing schedules!
Meeting Notification: You can now check meeting notifications sent from Ticki tacka web on mobile and add them to your schedule. When features like November schedule sharing are introduced, you'll be able to receive these notifications on mobile in the same way. We look forward to your anticipation!
The web and mobile apps are synchronized in real-time. Manage your time and share your schedule easily from anywhere.
Now, I'd like to introduce a feature for your upcoming future! This feature makes it easy to know about appointments and meetings. You can now link Google Calendar with Ticki tacka! You can easily connect Google Calendar in the settings, and once connected, you can check the schedules synced with Google Calendar in the shared calendar at the bottom of the Today tab. Of course, public holidays and birthdays are also imported. Try working in Ticki tacka while referring to the schedules imported from Google Calendar without having to go back and forth.
You can also check the schedules registered in your team calendar in the shared calendar. When you press the settings button, a checkbox popup appears, where you can check only the teams you want to see and have them appear on the calendar. Set it up right now!
You can also utilize the shared calendar feature in the Calendar tab. Events imported from the shared calendar are displayed with gray bullets on the calendar, and you can check shared calendar events in the lower right space. Now, don't forget important events, and check and prepare for them in Ticki tacka!
We have changed the location of the Finish planning button to the upper right corner, providing a more comprehensive UX. It has been improved by placing it side by side with the reflection button, functioning in an On/Off manner. We've restructured it to be much more noticeable and to better understand its flow. Moreover, when you write a plan, we provide an additional nudge by making the finishing button visibly prominent under today's to-do list. The plan completion action is important because it triggers notifications on Slack and the mobile app, and also allows you to compare planned and actual time spent during reflection. We plan to continue trying various approaches to achieve better usability while observing usage patterns.
The popup that appears when you press "Finish planning" has also been improved. We aimed to enhance the significance of plan completion by providing a summary of your day and allowing you to set priorities. This reflects our consideration that by providing meaning to this action along with a nudge, users might be more inclined to perform this action more frequently. We would appreciate your feedback as you use this feature!
Didn't finish all the tasks you planned for today? Now you can easily create tomorrow's to-do list using the 'Continue' feature. You can find the 'Continue' button by pressing the 'See More' button on your to-do. It would be great to finish everything today, but not everything goes as planned, right? What's important is ultimately doing it well, so it might be a good approach to tackle it tomorrow with a fresh mind and in good condition.
Time-saving: You can reduce the time spent creating a new to-do list every day.
Work continuity: You can continuously manage important tasks without missing them.
Stress reduction: You can reduce the burden of incomplete tasks.
Sometimes you may not be able to finish everything as planned, but that doesn't mean failure. The 'Continue' feature can be a tool to help you continuously move towards your goals.
You can find the newly updated guide by pressing the question mark-shaped 'Help' button in the upper right corner. We took this opportunity to improve the existing guide as it wasn't capturing the new flow. You can choose between personal and team guides to get a feel for how you can use Ticki tacka overall. Check it out right now :)

Our team members who have been busy in the US will be returning home soon. Many new opportunities and insights are being created. Discussions are progressing through conversations with various overseas companies, project 'H' has begun, and the value of dialogue and experience clearly increases the more diverse and numerous they are. Ticki tacka aims to expand opportunities to increase touchpoints with various countries.
Domestically, more companies are starting to adopt and utilize Ticki tacka. We plan to quickly test and implement necessary points that are felt through actual use. If your team is interested in adoption and testing or needs onboarding, please contact jjchoi@reversemountain.co.kr!
These days, the Ticki tacka team is trending towards packed lunches. We have lunch-packers of various levels, from Hyunbin, a complete beginner, to Yujin, who has quite a long experience. Even the CPO writing this is trying to pack lunches. Seungjun, who occasionally visits the Ticki tacka team and brings packed lunches, came by to share stories about packed lunches and conducted a usability test for Ticki tacka. He agreed to provide feedback while using it regularly. We're trying to increase opportunities for usability testing targeting individual users and create more channels to receive feedback.
